An old man said...There comes a time in life,When you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad,and focus on good. So love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is a living!

Good news on the horizen for treatment for pulmonary hypertension by a Drug called Imatinib. read more :-

On another trial a 61-year-old man with a rapidly progressing form of familial idiopathic
pulmonary arterial hypertension. Five years earlier, the patient had presented
with signs of right-sided heart failure in our pulmonary-hypertension referral
center. During the previous year, his condition had progressively deteriorated,
despite advanced combination therapy with oral bosentan (125 mg twice daily),1
inhaled iloprost (nine inhalations per day),2 and
oral sildenafil (50 mg three times a day).3,4 The
patient's six-minute walking distance had progressively declined during the
previous nine months, from 323 m to 260 m, and the pulmonary vascular
resistance increased from 1056 dyn · sec · cm–5 (with a mean
pulmonary-artery pressure of 59 mm Hg and a cardiac index of 2.08 liters per

Admitted to Sheffield

medicalPosted by eric kerr Sat, February 12, 2011 16:58:04
On Friday 11th Feb `11 at 5pm, Natalie recevied a phone call of the Nurse Paul from Sheffield to say that she would have to go into hospital for antibiotics treatment. so it was a rush to get the kids sorted and a visit to the Chippy for a quick tea then on the road to Sheffield, we arrived at 8.15 pm they were waiting for Natalie and immediatly admitted her to the ward and started her treatment. it was sad to see Andrew Krelle also admitted in the ward who was very ill, get well soon Andy. at 10.15 pm i made my way back home arriving at 23:45 pm. receved a Phone call at 09.00 am the next morning from Natalie to speak to us all and told us that she had felt ill during the night and passed out and when she recovered only to find the Cardiac arrest team , Nurses & doctors looking down at her, but thankfully was not needed as the medication was overpowering and was the cause of her losing consciousness after Natalie had recovered she had a good night sleep now waiting for some more test on Monday.

medicalPosted by eric kerr Wed, January 05, 2011 11:49:16

Today i had an appointment with Dr Lipscomb at The Royal Bolton Hospital. She Listened to my heart and chest and said everything sounds fine, chest is clear and heart sounds nice and regular. I have no signs of fluid retention which is good as this is a sign of heart failure. Blood Pressure and Pulse does not show signs for concern. All in all i am nice and stable! Fingers crossed i stay this way! I am to be seen again in 3 months time.
