here's my blog for 2016, you can follow my life that I try to live to the full after being given a second chance by my very generous Organ Donor. I will continue to encourage people to join the organ donor register and hope that the law will change to make it a opt out option X

Appointment

HospitalPosted by eric kerr Tue, January 19, 2016 17:10:47
At Wythenshawe Hospital today for a assessment ready for my Fundoplication, had Blood test, ECG , Blood pressure , weight check and to see the Doctor going through my Medical History, then they tell me that the operation date will have to be changed from the 3rd Feburary and put back to meet the surgeons needs, after a phone call later this afternoon i was informed the operation will be on the 24th February .
Prior to this i have to see the anesthetist on the 12th Feburary.

**** Nissen fundoplication, also known as laparoscopic fundoplication, is a surgical procedure to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and hiatal hernia. In GERD it is usually performed when medical therapy has failed, but with paraesophageal hiatus hernia, it is the first-line procedure.***

So hopefully this should not be a long process, this is necessary to preserve my Lungs for the future.
